Job Description:

In KBR we truly believe that decarbonization and emission reduction is key to a sustainable future, we showed this by achieving carbon neutrality back in 2020 and ambition to reach net-zero by 2030. We also support our clients with our sustainable technologies (green NH3, alcohol-to-SAF, e-methanol, plastic recycling, etc) and help them with the development and implementation of their decarbonization strategies.

Your primary responsibility will focus on leading the KBR Consulting Decarbonization Product Service Line (PSL) offering for the Americas as well as managing and supporting the delivery of relevant projects in the region. You will do this by working closely with our technical SMEs and with the wider KBR. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated experience in developing/deploying decarbonization roadmaps and strategies for the heavy industry sector (with a focus on the oil refining, petrochemical and fertilizer sectors).

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Operations:

  • Develops, scopes and leads Consulting engagements on a seller/doer basis.

  • In collaboration with Regional Director(s) manages the utilization of PSL team & ensures quality delivery of projects.

  • Technical and management sponsorship of regional PSL projects.

  • Develops and manages team of PSL resources.

Market Insights & Positioning

  • Understanding of key clients, competitors, market projections & market needs.

  • Develops tools, capabilities and offerings to capture business.

  • Supports the development of marketing collateral and brochures.

  • Development of thought leadership & conference attendance.

Sales:

  • Develops and maintains PSL regional business plan.

  • Owns and manages key client relationships.

  • In collaboration with Regional Director(s), drives sales accountability and client engagement.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar field.

  • 15+ years of industry experience, with at least 10 years of operational, consulting, or sustainable project development experience.

  • Demonstrable front-end consulting experience – including scoping, selling and delivery.

  • Proven ability to develop decarbonization programs for the heavy industry sector, including development of metrics, decarbonization roadmaps, energy projects and application of new / emerging technologies.

  • Strong communication and technical skills.

  • Excellent communication skills including ability to produce concise reports and presentations appropriate for technical and executive levels.

  • Client relationships in Americas region (greater Global regions a plus).

Preferred Education & Skills:

  • Strong relationships with the industrial sector, developers, financing institutions and licensors

  • Execution of green hydrogen and derivatives (such as ammonia, LOHC, liquid hydrogen) projects

  • Knowledge of existing decarbonization related regulation (including the IRA), industry-trends, best practices
