Robert Half Data Entry Clerk in Houston, Texas

Description

We are in search of a Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas, 77024, United States. This role is crucial to our operations and involves document review and data entry from customer orders. The position is a contract to hire role and offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the industry. The work schedule for this role covers evenings and weekends.

Work Hours:

Thursday 4pm-8pm

Friday 4pm-8pm

Saturday 12pm-7pm

Sunday 12pm-7pm

Monday 4pm-8pm

Responsibilities

  • Entering Data: Inputting, updating, and maintaining information in databases or other data systems.

  • Data Verification: Reviewing and verifying data for accuracy, completeness, and consistencies, and correcting any errors.

  • Document Management: Scanning, filing, and archiving relevant documents.

  • Reporting: Generating reports and presentations based on the entered data.

  • Data Confidentiality: Upholding and enforcing data confidentiality protocols and guidelines.

  • Communication: Liaising with team members, supervisors, or clients to clarify information or address data-related issues.

  • Quality Control: Ensuring the quality of data inputted into the system by periodically running checks or audits.

  • System Maintenance: Carrying out regular backups to ensure data preservation and security.

  • Time Management: Meeting data entry deadlines and targets in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Research: Locating and collecting data from appropriate sources, ensuring data integrity.

    Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, with a preference for those with additional education or degrees.

  • Proficient in typing with speed and accuracy, and adept in computer skills, particularly databases and Microsoft Office tools.

  • Strong attention to detail, to ensure data is entered correctly and errors are minimal.

  • Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and departments.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills to handle bulk data tasks efficiently.
