Description We are offering a contract for a Data Engineer position in the Energy/Natural Resources industry. Located in Houston, Texas, this role involves the utilization of a variety of skills, including Apache Spark, Database, EO/IR systems, Erwin Data, HDFS, AB Testing, Analytics, AWS Technologies, Business Intelligence (BI), Business Requirement Document, Azure Databricks, SSIS ETL, and SSIS - SQL Server Integration Services.

Responsibilities:

• Build and manage an enterprise data warehouse as part of the data engineering duties.

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using GIT, ensuring the smooth flow of data.

• Leverage Azure Databricks and Power BI for data processing and visualization tasks.

• Implement and use AWS technologies for data storage and analysis.

• Apply Apache Spark for distributed data processing.

• Utilize SSIS - SQL Server Integration Services for data migration and ETL processes.

• Leverage your background in SSIS for data integration and transformation tasks.

• Use Business Intelligence (BI) tools for generating actionable insights from data.

• Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents to clearly define business needs.

• Use your knowledge of EO/IR systems and Erwin Data in relevant tasks.

• Conduct AB Testing to evaluate user experience and system performance.

• Ensure the usage of HDFS for distributed storage of large data sets. Requirements • Proficiency in Apache Spark, leveraging it to process large datasets efficiently.

• Extensive experience in database management, including design, implementation, and maintenance.

• Familiarity with EO/IR systems and their practical applications in the energy/natural resources sector.

• Proficient with Erwin Data, using it for data modeling and architecture.

• Expertise in HDFS for storing and retrieving large volumes of data across multiple servers.

• Experience in AB Testing to validate system enhancements and improvements.

• Strong analytics skills, capable of interpreting complex data and transforming it into actionable insights.

• Proficiency in AWS Technologies for managing and processing large datasets.

• Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) to drive strategic decision-making based on data analysis.

• Ability to create a comprehensive Business Requirement Document that aligns with company objectives and stakeholder expectations.

• Proficiency in Azure Databricks for big data analytics and processing.

• Experience with SSIS ETL to extract, transform, and load data for further analysis.
