TEKsystems Customer Service Representative in Houston, Texas

Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound calls to answer questions and work towards a solution (approximately 40-50 calls per day).

  • Make outbound calls when available (90-120+ calls a day) and use various collection strategies to collect on past due bills.

  • Provide answers to customer inquiries regarding bills.

  • Demonstrate an effort to reach out to clients and leads.

  • Offer payment options and negotiate payment in full or set up payment arrangements.

  • Contact customers only once to inform them of their balance.

  • Manage and review accounts to identify adjustments, discrepancies, and create requests for resolution.

  • Utilize the main system (Cubs - CRM) for filing customer information and making notes.

  • Use the Noble system for receiving calls and dialing out.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • At least one year of call center experience.

  • Ability to handle upset customers effectively, whether face-to-face or over the phone.

  • Professional communication skills over the phone.

  • Basic computer skills (including restarting a computer, using an internet browser, Microsoft Office, and typing).

  • Basic math skills.

  • Ability to multi-task, strong listening skills, and proven reliability/punctuality in past positions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of recent collections experience or knowledge of state and local collection laws.

  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience.

  • Bilingual in Spanish

Location: Houston, TX

Hours: Mon-Thurs 11 AM-8 PM, Friday 9 AM–6 PM, with a rotating Saturday (1 Saturday per month)
