As the K12 Contracts & Procurement Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the alignment of K12 contracts and renewals with technical responses for RFPs, bids, and sales teams. You will serve as the subject matter expert for K12 contracts within the Secondary/National Geographic Learning (NGL) business unit, acting as a technical liaison between Technical Product Managers and Legal and Privacy Teams. Your primary focus will be on efficient communication, alignment, and risk assessment to facilitate smooth contract management processes.

What you'll do here:

  • Serve as the department subject matter expert on the initial review of legal terms for standard K12 vendor contracts, including subscription agreements, confidentiality, privacy, software licensing, and curriculum contracts.

  • Project manage the resolution of contract negotiations provided by our Legal and Privacy teams that arise during the contract lifecycle through effective customer communication, negotiation, and critical thinking.

  • Enhance efficiency and effectiveness by finding ways to improve processes, standardize contract templates, and automate contract management workflows.

  • Maintain a repository of contract templates, clauses, and risk assessment frameworks.

  • Serve as the primary document coordinator with our technology teams to ensure completion of school district questionnaires and responses with compliance for our district partners.

  • Serve as the go-to person for K12 contracts within the Secondary/NGL business unit, offering guidance and assistance to relevant parties.

  • Analyze and interpret legal language within contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement standardized processes and tools for contract risk assessment.

  • Provide recommendations and guidance on risk mitigation strategies and contract negotiation.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards, legal obligations, and regulatory updates concerning K12 contracts and risk management.

  • Monitor and report on contract risk assessment metrics, trends, and compliance.

Skills you will need here:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in contract management.

  • Experience at a Sass, Ed. Tech company preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, legal studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience in contract management, risk assessment, or a related field, preferably within the K12 education sector.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Travel for training and team meetings may occur a few times throughout the year.

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

$77,100.00 - $123,300.00 USD
