As a Commercial Optimization Rep II, you'll be responsible for coordinating with pipeline control and transportation services teams when system capacity is limited due to both planned and unplanned outages, system utilization and customer impacts. You will handle operational balancing agreements and customer imbalances. The ability to analyze data and assess possible solutions to issues while displaying a strong customer focus are keys to success!

Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Determines customer impact with planned and unplanned outages and changes in flow dynamics

• Reviews data to draft postings and constraints for electronic bulletin board system; provides data as needed to support decisions how to be manage pipeline conditions or optimize the system

• Coordinates with internal teams to manage balancing agreements and imbalances to determine path forward while minimizing system and customer impacts

• Provides input strategies with pipeline control teams to optimize pipeline operations to create incremental revenue sources

• Supports commercial teams in planning to ensure firm obligations are met and revenue streams are optimized

• Provides data analytics for shipper imbalances, fuel calculations and storage fluctuations to improve business processes

• Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, economics, or related field and a minimum of one (1) year experience in energy industry

• Preferred: Master's degree and three (3) years of experience in energy industry

Other Requirements:

• Demonstrate excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority.

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience in identifying process improvements, trends and predictive behavior using analytics

• General understanding of natural gas competes with, and complements alternative sources of energy

• Some knowledge of business needs and challenges of our customers

• Preferred: In-depth understanding of commercial systems

• Preferred: Familiarity with contractual and tariff provisions
