Job Overview: This position is responsible for managing cash in transit/cargo claims in a fast-paced work environment at the direction of the company's National CIT Claims Manager. The position requires technical and analytical skills to ensure proficiency with the Company's claim systems, data analysis, and research tasks-a high-volume work environment. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both for managing and maintaining key relationships with management, field risk managers, operations personnel, and customers.
Accountabilities:
Enter customer claims into the centralized claims database.
Manage monetary claim adjustments in the centralized claims database.
- Assist assigned branches to drive timely resolution and mitigation of claims.
- Host weekly calls with each assigned district to obtain quality updates.
- Update the claim database with notes and any supporting documentation received.
- As needed, research and analyze claim materials, receipts and/or like documents to support claim resolution.
- Assist branches with claim communication to customers, both formal responses and email responses.
- Ensure all branches are processing claims in accordance with the Loomis Claims Process.
- Influence all parties to ensure claims are handled with integrity.
- Close attention to detail/execution i.e. accurate payment processing, with and adherence to the Company's claim guidelines.
- Process claim payments, create Release and Assignment documents, and send them to customers.
- Process restitution/recovery payments.
- Accountable for interaction with internal and external customers, providing a high caliber of professional service and support.
- Willingness to take initiative, anticipate issues, and offer solutions.
- Ability to actively listen and ability to keep confidential information.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Primary requirements:
- Strong financial background through work or education.
- Excellent knowledge and proven skills with all Microsoft Office applications, including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong research skills, online internet search engines, etc.
- Ability to prioritize, work independently, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to multi-task successfully.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
