Assembly Bay Supervisor in

Houston, TX to

utilize knowledge of high-speed turbomachinery to lead the Advanced Repairs Department. Establish a safety and quality culture. Determine and provide work assignments, maintain skill sets, manage time and attendance, mentor and carry out disciplinary actions. Oversee expected lead time on projects ensuring quality workmanship. Plan the daily manpower schedule using resource planning tools with production targets for each resource to ensure customer deadlines are met. Track and manage productivity of each employee, set expectations, and follow up with each employee on daily and weekly targets. Coordinate training of personnel as required. Manage overtime to support customer needs while maintaining budgeted targets. Ensure department expense budgets are met. Ensure compliance with procedures established by the company including safety, quality, work schedules, absences and discipline. Perform regular shop floor rounds in the production area. Provide technical engineering support to the departments. Participate in resolving production and quality issues.

Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience. Employer will accept 2 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree. Full term of experience must include: rotating equipment and managing personnel; MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Outlook; drafting ability for tooling and repair instructions; and ability to interpret shop instructions and manufacturing drawings.
