Experienced Clinical Nurses receive a very competitive compensation package which includes fully covered medical premiums, Teacher's Retirement Services (TRS) contribution, generous Paid-Time-Off and certification pay.
PLUS - nurses will earn up to $8,320 in annual unit-based differentials for all inpatient units. In addition, Evening/Night nurses will be eligible for shift differential pay.
Clinical Nurses relocating from 100+ miles from MD Anderson will also qualify for up to $10,000 in relocation assistance !
The Advanced Support Unit (ASU) aims to be a patient-centered , focused environment where a dedicated care team will provide advanced medical support, goal concordant care , and psycho-social support for patients and families, working towards their acceptance of end of life . ASU is an Advanced Intermediate Care Unit which requires dedicated staff able to manage patients with many levels of needs including some critical care components such as advanced respiratory requirements including mechanical ventilation and advanced non-invasive respiratory devices in addition to management of vasoactive drugs. ACLS and BLS required. Critical care experience needed.
Ideal candidate must have graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing, current Texas RN license and a minimum of one year of recent RN experience in an ICU setting. ACLS and BLS are required .
Shift: 7 pm-7 am and 26 out of 52 weekends per year
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Preferred: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.
Preferred Experience : 12 months of recent acute care RN experience.
Licensure/Certification:
Required: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
