Advanced Application Engr - Experion PKS Controllers

The primary purpose of this position is to deliver superior customer satisfaction with the HPS Technical Support response, communication, and resolution of customer cases for the HPS System and Infrastructure line of business. The GTAC engineer works in a global team, providing support for a defined set of products/technologies. Works closely with peer colleagues globally to solve technical problem. Visit to customer locations may be required for critical site investigations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to deliver remote support & services remotely and effectively.

  • Keep technically current with the broad HPS product/systems portfolio, while maintaining expert knowledge on the Experion PKS Client/Servers product line.

  • Proactively manage and respond to customer questions, issues, and input accurately and within Service Level Agreement timing.

  • Maintain strong case documentation and follow-up to ensure that technical recommendations effectively resolve customer issues.

  • Support Honeywell affiliates by participating in meetings with customers.

  • Actively share knowledge and new findings with other team members through the periodic creation of knowledge articles.

  • Support through the follow-the-sun approach within the Global TAC organization or After Hour Emergency.

  • Work and communicate directly with Honeywell Developers to resolve a customer issue.

  • Ability to detect and report Product Defects on the products supported in his current discipline.

  • Maintain proactive and timely communications, providing frequent and informative customer updates.

  • Execute GTAC and other standard audit checklists

  • Comply with all GSM processes for documentation and customer communication.

The annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $140,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

  • 6+ years’ experience in the system engineering, operations, or services support functions within the Industrial automation industry.

WE VALUE

  • Engineering degree in Electronics, Chemical, Instrumentation or Process technologies.

  • 6+years’ experience with Honeywell process control systems

  • 6+ years of experience with Experion PKS Controller family and related architecture i.e.

  • C200/C300; Series C I/Os; Universal I/Os; ACE; OPC Gateway; Ethernet IP; PCDI; ERDB/ControlBuilder/SQL; FDM/Fieldbus; UOC; ControlNet/DeviceNet/Profibus/HART; IEC 61850 integration with Experion; Control Strategies based on CM/SCM/RCM; Batch/Experion Batch Manager
