Thompson Safety LLC Accounts Receivable Associate in Houston, Texas

Thompson Safety is looking for a bright, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team. This role is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your accounting skills to contribute to the financial health of a rapidly growing company. If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are driven by numbers and customer relations, we want you on the Thompson Safety Team! In this role, you’ll: Make outbound collection calls and send emails on an assigned portfolio while establishing and improving customer relations. Resolve client billing problems, identify issues attributing to account delinquency and escalate to manager as needed Maintain AR records to ensure credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and unapplied cash is identified and posted timely Interact and communicate with your internal clients (field leaders) to resolve any collection issues that cannot be handled via phone or email. At a minimum we’d like you to have: High School Diploma or GED required Knowledge of general accounting principles and AR process Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, with strong excel skills High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to effectively prioritize work tasks and problem solve Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) It’s preferred if you have: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 3+ year of AR/collections experience in B2B services Desire for upward mobility Perks of the Job: Competitive pay Excellent medical, dental, vision and ancillary benefits 401(k) program with employer match and immediate vesting! 3 weeks Paid Time-Off 7 Paid Holidays Who is Thompson Safety?
