Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

  • Responsible for processing a minimum of 40-45 invoices per day. Must manage the AP email inbox and research any discrepancies. Must be able to use Excel at a basic level.

  • Responsible for full cycle accounts payable processes. Assist supervisor with monthly accruals and submitting assigned vendor invoices while guaranteeing accuracy. Additionally, have a general understanding of prepaid invoices and the differences between down-payments vs. prepaids.

  • Responsible for the timely processing of high-volume vendor invoices (min of 40 invoices per day) and payments to meet set deadlines in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Adjust/pay appropriate sales tax when vouchering invoices.

  • Complete special projects and implement changes as needed and identify trends to improve performance.

  • Complete audit requests in a timely manner

  • Review and respond to vendor statements and emails.

  • Ensure that AP policies are adhered to and that they comply with internal control guidelines and external requirements.

  • Prepare and process weekly vendor payments. May require printing of checks/mailings.

  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.

  • Assist with establishing new vendors in accordance with company policy, responding to the business and validating vendor records

  • Assist with processing remote deposits and ensuring accuracy and consistency in coding.

Hard Skills

  • Must have 3+ Years of full cycle Accounts Payable experience

  • Must have 2+ years of RECENT SAP experience

  • Must have experience utilizing SAP T-Codes

  • Experience working in Microsoft Excel

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Houston, Texas and some days remote.
