Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Houston, Texas

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the bustling Energy Corridor of Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be part of our team, ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of our accounts payable system. This includes handling high-volume SOX compliant environments and managing Full Cycle AP using NetSuite.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of PO and Non-PO invoices, Accruals, and Intercompany invoices.

• Utilize NetSuite for invoice processing and account reconciliation.

• Perform data entry tasks with accuracy and diligence.

• Ensure timely and accurate check runs.

• Code invoices as per company's accounting guidelines.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.

• Assist in the preparation and issuance of Form 1099.

• Address and resolve any discrepancies or inquiries related to accounts payable.

• Collaborate with the team to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the accounts payable process.

This role requires a set of specific skills including Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, Coding Invoices, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, Form 1099, Intercompany, Accruals, and proficiency in NetSuite. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role or in the field of accounts payable

• Proficient in accounts payable (AP) and account reconciliation

• Experience with check runs and coding invoices

• Demonstrated ability in data entry and invoice processing

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge and experience with Form 1099, intercompany transactions, and accruals

• Experience with NetSuite is advantageous

• Must have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred.
