Our client in the energy industry is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be part of the Payment Administration and Check Administration team supporting various responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to take initiative, pay attention to detail, collaborate well with colleagues, and quickly adapt to new technologies, processes, and environments.

Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Range: $21-23/hour

What's the Job?

• Processes all checks and ensures appropriate check distribution daily.

• Balances Check Registers against Batch Status reports to ensure accuracy.

• Prepares all checks for mailing: Certified, Regular, FedEx and delivery to mailroom.

• Coordinates all Special Handling requests and attachments associated with outgoing checks.

What's Needed?

• Experience in efficiently managing and understanding the intricacies of the AP process.

• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in using email and communication tools like Outlook.

• Ability to take initiative to solve problems and complete tasks without constant supervision.

• Paying attention to details to ensure accuracy.

• Collaborating well with colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.
