Robert Half Finance & Accounting is searching for a talented Senior Accountant on behalf of a reputable construction services company in the Houma - Thibodaux area.

Interested candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field in addition to 5 or more years of full cycle accounting experience including month-end close and financial statement preparation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in performing all accounting functions, including payroll support as necessary.

• Maintains daily business transactions.

• Prepares and reconciles P& L (Profit and Loss) and Balance Sheet statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Supports the preparation of annual budget.

• Produces financial forecasts as requested by Controller and CFO.

• Monitors and manages company bank accounts.

• Applies construction industry accounting standards as required to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years of full cycle accounting experience, including month-end close and financial statement preparation.

• 5 or more years - Strongly Preferred

• Bachelor of Accounting or Finance Degree (or similar field) - Required

• Demonstrated knowledge and application of GAAP accounting principles

• Demonstrated success in compliance oversight, as related to all state and federal regulations

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online accounting software – Required

• Proficiency in Paychex payroll software - Preferred

• Proficiency in Procore project management software – Preferred
