Job Purpose

Performs activities that ensure customer contractual compliance, continual quality improvements to products, services and systems as well as compliance to ISO9001 / AS9100 / ISO13485. Activities are focused around assembling, analyzing and monitoring data for trends, events and opportunities. This position reports to the site Quality Manager.The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Technical, unbiased voice to and from the customer regarding Quality matters and expectations including the ability to halt a process if required.
  • Oversees execution, management and improvement of QMS process areas and procedures using lean principles and the ability to train others on the process.
  • Mentor and assist development of Quality Engineering and Inspection personnel.
  • Work directly with the plant staff to ensure quality systems are in place that meet customer expectations.
  • Monitor plant operations and work with the plant staff to recommend and implement actions to improve plant operations.
  • Ensure prompt responses to customer complaints, corrective action requests, etc. in support of continuous improvement activities.
  • Work directly with initiatives such as EOS, SAP, etc. to ensure seamless integration into plant QA operations.
  • Determine best practices for common processes and work with plant personnel to implement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: * To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * Batchelor's degree in a Technical program or equivalent experience. * Five years of experience in a Quality Assurance environment with Management experience preferred. * Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of programs (Word, Excel, etc.). * Must be a US Citizen. Preferred Qualifications: * G, D & T knowledge. * Quality System experience (Auditor training, AS9100, ISO9001, etc.). * Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or willingness to obtain * ASQ CQE or willingness to obtain.
