Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for a 1st Shift position (Monday - Friday). The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components in accordance with technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of CNC equipment and machining techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate CNC machines, including loading and aligning workpieces, selecting tools, and adjusting machine settings.

  • Read and interpret technical blueprints and CAD/CAM files to program CNC machines for various operations.

  • Operate CNC machinery to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, turning, and grinding with high precision.

  • Inspect finished products using measuring tools and gauges to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.

  • Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure optimal performance.

  • Identify and resolve any issues with machine performance or product quality, including making adjustments or replacing defective parts.

  • Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any issues encountered during operations.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a CNC machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining is a plus.

  • Proficiency in operating CNC machines, including familiarity with various types of CNC equipment (e.g., lathes, mills).

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files.

  • Strong understanding of machine tools, measurement instruments, and machining techniques.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Basic knowledge of mathematics and ability to perform precise measurements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining.

Work Environment

You will work in a manufacturing environment with various CNC equipment such as lathes and mills. The role requires adherence to safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The position is on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Horsham, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
