Job Summary: This role will report to the Procurement Director and will work directly with the lab operations teams to plan material requirements, maintain optimum inventory levels, establish procedures to improve the financial performance of the company. Oversee receiving, shipping and warehouse activities and is responsible for leading a team to maximize efficiency and company profitability via monetary savings contributions. This position optimizes value across company supply expenditures by leveraging technology to meet lab operations demand. Own development of the overall material management strategies and monitor and maintain the implemented strategy on an ongoing basis.

Requirements: *Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field. *7+ years' experience managing material/supplies in a warehouse, shipping and receiving. *CPIM certification preferred. *3+ years of supervisory experience required.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: Inventory Management *Collaborate with lab managers and their teams to determine supply needs. *Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to ensure optimal stock levels within the warehouse and the lab departments. *Monitor inventory levels within the warehouse and lab departments and replenish stock through requisitions as needed to meet lab operations' requirements. *Ensure availability of material during critical times. *Conduct regular cycle counts, manage responsibilities of an annual inventory count, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accuracy.

Supplier Relationship Management *Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement and delivery of materials. *Evaluate supplier performance based on delivery speed for their products, price and quality and implement improvement strategies, as necessary.

Logistics, Distribution and Warehouse *Manage the receiving and tracking of all incoming supplies, etc. noting actual arrival dates and time. Resolve shipping problems through coordination with suppliers. *Coordinate the efficient movement of materials from suppliers and warehouse to lab operations. *Optimize logistics processes to minimize lead times and reduce costs. *Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal warehouse security, operational policies, and procedures, maintaining standards of health, safety, and hygiene.

Technology Utilization *Leverage technology and software tools for efficient material tracking, reporting, and analysis. *Stay informed and knowledgeable on industry trends and advancements in supply chain technology.

Cost Management *Analyze costs associated with materials, logistics, and procurement processes to identify areas for cost reduction. *Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.

Personnel *Train, guide and coach staff, delegate tasks, create schedules for direct reports and monitor and appraise performance to develop employees. *Set team goals in collaboration with other team leads to achieve organizational objectives. *Acts as change agent and advocate for Procurement as a value-added partner. * erforms other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: *In-depth knowledge and experience with best practices for inventory management, warehouse management and procurement processes. *Strong interpersonal and communication skills. *Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting. *Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management software and tools. *Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams. *Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI) *Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

Physical Demands: *Ability to talk, hear, stand, reach with hands and arms, and use hands and fingers to manipulate instrument/equipment controls, computer keyboard, office equipment, objects, or tools. *Moving from one work location to another to sit and stand, sometimes for extended periods of time. *Vision (with correction) including color, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
