Job Duties: Provide excellent chair side communication to enhance the patient experience. Administer local anesthetics to limit the amount of pain experienced by patients during procedures. Examine teeth, gums and additionally oral and maxillofacial tissues, using dental instruments, x-rays, or other diagnostic equipment, to evaluate dental health, diagnose diseases or abnormalities and additionally plan appropriate treatments. Cleans, fillings, extracts and additionally replaces teeth, using rotary hand instruments, dental appliances, medications and additionally surgical implements. Perform restorative procedure like placing amalgam and composite filling material for pediatric and adult patients. Advise or instruct patients regarding preventive dental care, the causes treatment of dental problems, or oral health care services. Design, make, or fit prosthodontic appliances, like space maintainers, bridges, or dentures, or write fabrication instructions or prescriptions for denturists or dental technicians. Diagnose as well as treat diseases, injuries, or malformations of teeth, gums, or related oral and maxillofacial tissue and/or provide preventive or corrective services. Perform anterior and molar endodontic procedures including pulp capping and root canal treatment using hand and rotary instruments . Perform limited orthodontic procedure such as Invisalign. Write prescriptions for antibiotics or other medications, and refer patients to specialist when necessary. Perform minor oral or periodontal surgery on the jaw or mouth. Perform adult and child prophylaxis, Scaling and root planning, and oral hygiene instruction and brushing technique. Bleach, clean, or polish teeth to restore natural color. Provides preventive dental services to patient, like early detection of cavities, applications of fluoride as well as sealants to teeth, and also education in oral dental hygiene. Plan, organize, or maintain dental health programs. Produce or evaluate dental health educational materials. Manage business, employing as well as supervising staff plus handling paperwork insurance claims. Requirements: DDS or DMD and a valid Pennsylvania state dental license.
