A great client of ours outside of Worcester, MA is looking to add a Compliance Engineer to their team for a contract to hire opportunity! Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of related experience. We are looking for candidates who like to read/interpret codes, and know how to audit or review procedures. Someone who comes from a regulated industry like pharmaceuticals, power generation, gas/electric distribution, QA/QC will do well here. There is travel involved which will require candidates to visit facilities between MA, CT, and NH when necessary.

responsibilities:

  • Under supervision, carries out internal compliance assurance tasks to evaluate adherence to current and proposed federal, state, or industry laws and regulations.

  • Develops and evaluates procedures and policies to ensure alignment with company standards, as well as federal, state, and local regulations and codes.

  • Manages the collection of compliance documents to support regulatory filings and information requests.

  • Assists in overseeing construction, operation, and maintenance activities to ensure adherence to specifications and codes.

  • Ensures compliance with field procedures and coordinates with other groups.

  • Reviews purchase requisitions and invoices related to departmental activities.

  • Supports gas distribution system and LNG restoration efforts during emergencies.
