At Lovingly, we embrace a hybrid work model that combines the flexibility of remote work with the benefits of in-person collaboration. Our team members are spread across North America, with many conveniently located within a few hours of our Hopewell Junction, NY headquarters. While the majority of our team works from home most of the time, we recognize the unique value of face-to-face interactions.

Depending on the role, team members may be asked to join us at HQ periodically—ranging from once a year to quarterly, monthly, weekly or even more often. This approach ensures that we can maintain strong team cohesion and collaboration while respecting individual needs for flexibility. As the CFO, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our company, aligning financial strategies with our overarching business objectives, and driving initiatives that support sustainable growth and innovation.

What you’ll do

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with Lovingly's short-term goals and the company’s vision. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to the executive team. Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Multi-Channel Financial Management: Develop financial models integrating data from e-commerce, retail locations, and partner networks. Implement dynamic pricing optimization systems. Guide financial aspects of retail expansion.

  • Risk Management and Compliance: Develop and maintain an AI-driven risk management system. Ensure 100% accuracy in accounting functions and regulatory compliance. Conduct regular scenario planning exercises.

  • Stakeholder Management and Strategic Partnerships: Establish and maintain partnerships with financial institutions and risk management firms. Communicate complex financial information to various stakeholders.

  • AI-Driven Financial Innovation: Spearhead implementation of AI tools to automate 95% of routine financial tasks. Develop AI-powered analytics systems for forecasting. Champion use of machine learning algorithms for uncovering business insights.

  • Data-Driven Insights and Reporting: Oversee development of real-time financial dashboards. Transform complex financial data into actionable narratives. Implement self-service analytics tools.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a lean but impactful finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or CPA preferred.

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role. Strong understanding of e-commerce, retail, and multi-channel business models.

  • Skills: Expertise in leveraging AI and advanced technologies in financial operations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and communication skills. Experience with advanced financial systems implementation and optimization.

  • Openness to engage in a wide range of tasks and projects.

Note: Job candidates must reside in one of the following states: New York, Connecticut, or New Jersey. Candidate must be located within 1 hour of Hopewell Junction, NY.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is between $180k and $250k based on skills, experience, and background.
