Robert Half Staff Accountant in Honolulu, Hawaii

Description

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role is vital to our organization's financial operations, predominantly in the non-profit sector. You will be responsible for reviewing transactions, preparing reports, and maintaining compliance with various grants. This role also includes responsibilities in budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation, and adhering to GAAP Accounting. If interested in this role, please call Noe Silva at 808.379.3849. Responsibilities:

• Review and monitor transactions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and private grants

• Prepare and submit detailed reports on grant usage

• Monitor and record additional contributions to the organization

• Develop and maintain accurate financial statements, budgets, and forecasts

• Conduct regular account reconciliation to ensure accuracy

• Adhere to GAAP Accounting principles in all accounting tasks

• Use your skills in Fund Accounting - Non-Profit to enhance financial decision-making processes.

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• In-depth understanding and application of fund accounting in non-profit organizations

• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

• Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

• Willingness to continue professional development.
