Position Summary
The Manager Fleet Reliability is responsible for the administration of the HA Reliability Program as well as the oversight and delivery of fleet performance analysis needs related to aircraft and component reliability improvements.
This position has an estimated duration of 6-12 months. Note that no relocation assistance is available for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Develops, provides and maintains all data processing programs for aircraft and component reliability functions. Ensures data provided supports other departments, divisions, and sections are analyzed and displayed as useful information necessary to enable good decision making.
Administers the production of the monthly Maintenance and Engineering Department Aircraft Reliability Performance Report and monthly Analysis and Surveillance Report.
Ensures that analysis of component removal / failure rates, pilot / maintenance reports, and other related reports is conducted to determine deficiencies in the maintenance and inspection program.
Provide component or aircraft trend information at the Daily Operation Review Meeting, as appropriate.
Ensures that the data collection system provides adequate and accurate data for analysis in support of improved Reliability and Aircraft Maintenance Programs. Champions forum to use data in a collaborative manner with maintenance programs, engineering and other stakeholders as needed, to support efforts to improve dispatch reliability, component MTBF, reduce delays and cancellations.
Analyze aircraft discrepancies and premature component removals and provide visibility to Maintenance for action. Initiate warranty notification for premature component removals identified.
Identify mechanical irregularity trends and coordinate technical analysis with shop / line maintenance personnel, engineering, manufacturers, and vendors to identify and recommend remedial action opportunities for approval by the Maintenance Reliability Review Board.
Provide research and recommendations for components, systems, and aircraft to be sampled for participating in time increase, maintenance process change, etc.
Represent the Reliability Program at OEM, vendor, and supplier conferences.
Professional Development of team members in the group and other related duties as assigned by Senior Director – Fleet Introduction Performance.
Minimum Requirements
B.S in Engineering with at least 8 years' experience in the aviation maintenance industry, or an advanced degree and 3-5 years of relevant airline maintenance experience. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 10+ years of airline maintenance program experience, some of which was in a leadership capacity, may be considered.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of commercial aviation experience with FAR 121, in the field of Aircraft Maintenance, Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Regulatory Compliance.
Valid driver’s license with ability to obtain AOA license
Proven ability to lead others in an effective and productive way. Ability to get things done in a fast paced environment, with multiple customers, deadlines and priorities.
Possesses a contagious, positive attitude – creatively finds a way to get things accomplished without compromising on safety and efficiency. Takes a proactive approach in finding a better way of doing things. Cultivates a continuous improving culture within his/her team.
Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects to balance work within the group, ensuring important technical updates are provided to maintenance documentation in an expeditious manner.
Must be familiar with aircraft systems on large commercial transport aircraft.
Must possess ability to analyze large quantities of data, utilizing statistical and numerical analytical techniques, tools and software.
Excellent knowledge of common MS Office suite of tools.
Must possess strong organizational and prioritization skills, a demonstrated ability of acting as an effective change agent, as well as good oral and written communications and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work flexible hours and on-call when required.

Please note that the provided salary information serves as a general guideline. Our salary is determined by a candidate's experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. The expected pay range is $109,200-$134,400.

Six Sigma certification.
