Aloha! One of Hawaii's healthcare clients is looking to build out their vendor and product risk management program. This includes helping to redefine current workflows and creating policies and procedures, contacting third-party vendors and internal staff to initiate and complete risk assessments. They will also provide assessment and re-assessment support, to include reviewing documentation and workflows, providing risk scores, and recommendations on controls.

The ideal candidate would primarily be responsible for:

• Growing the existing security review program, to include defining work flows and policies for third-party risk management.

• Conducting third-party assessments to include:

  • Gathering information from the vendor

  • Evaluating the vendor, product or service

  • Identifying and classifying associated risks

  • Remediating or mitigating any risks

  • Monitoring and re-evaluating the vendor, product or service

• Effectively communicate with various teams within IT and operations.

• Assisting with other day to day tasks.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Security Operations functions.

• Experience working with vulnerability management methodologies.

• Experience working with Windows Server, Desktop, Unix or Linux operating systems.

• Familiarity with vendor / product risk management

• Knowledge of information security protocols

• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare

• Write policies, follow corporate template

• Good organizational skills

• Able to communicate well, interact with vendors and internal staff

Nice to haves:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, Certified Information Systems Security Professional OR related IT Security certification.

• Project leadership experience with emphasis on training, development, and mentorship.
