Pay Rate: $14.49 per hour + tips (Cocktail Server) - $20.05 per hour (Relief Barista)
Cocktail Server:
Hilton Waikiki Beach is seeking an energetic Cocktail Server/Relief Barista to join their F&B Team serving in our Lobby and Pool Bars and Grab-and-Go Outlets! This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a Full Time position who has a flexible schedule.
The Cocktail Server is responsible for taking food and beverage orders; courteously and efficiently serving food and beverages to Guests in our Restaurant and collecting payments. Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing “Can Do” attitude and genuine hospitality and by exceeding guest expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate
Performs other duties as required to provide “Can Do” attitude and genuine hospitality
Provides food and beverage service to guests in LBLE
Sets up lounge tables with clean menus, table tents and candles
Provides guest with overview of menu and beverage choices
Takes guests’ order – provides explanation of menu and upsells as appropriate 10%
Serves and replenishes beverages 50%
Consolidates and picks up food and beverages which have been ordered. Ensures that all necessary/appropriate condiments are served with the appropriate dishes 25%
Clears cocktail tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware and silverware 20%
Cleans tables, chairs and floor area 10%
Assists Bartender by filling/replenishing ice bin 10%
Is familiar with and complies with all Department of Health sanitation and food safety guidelines 100%
Breaks down/scrapes and sorts chinaware and silverware at the soiled dish table 10%
Assists Bartender as necessary to meet and exceed the guests’ expectations
Completes all side work assignments according to LBLE standards 10%
Sets up and maintains appearance of Server areas which include:
Utensils, plates and napkins are cleaned and presentable
Side stand full and presentable
Menus are clean and presentable
Able to work in an indoor environment
Perform related duties as assigned by Manager
Maintain compliance with all company and brand policies and procedures
Other Duties:
Works with events in banquet space
Assists in serving banquet spaces from lobby bar
Other duties as assigned by Restaurant Manager or Director of F&B
Relief Barista:
Pay Rate: $20.05/hour + tips
Are you an early bird who loves helping people get their day started with their favorite cup of Joe? Love starting your day with the aroma of coffee? The Hilton Waikiki Beach is looking for a Relief Barista/Counterperson in our M.A.C. To-Go outlet. This position serves food and beverage items to hotel and walk-in guests. To prepare costumer beverages, to handle cash and attend to all duties involved in operation of a coffee bar. May also serve alcoholic beverages and perform other tasks requested by management, in accordance to the Job Requirement Listing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Is familiar with beverage (coffee) machine operation
Has complete knowledge of our product line
Must perform manual and electronic transactions that include: monies, room charges, credit card, coupons, and any hotel issued certificates 40%
Handles cash and makes deposits according to procedures 5%
Attends to all guests needs as requested 80%
Is self-motivated in keeping the working area in clean condition 20%
Restocks and keeps inventory of all products 10%
Knows how to handle the turbo chef properly 10%
Performs duties according to the Hawaii State Department of Health sanitation and food safety guidelines
Maintains an attractive food display 10%
Knows how to maintain all equipment; microwave, turbo chef, espresso machine, coffee brewer, fountain dispenser
Keeps management informed at all times of all incidents during the shift
Is self-empowered to correct mistakes and make the guests happy
Keeps the counter area clean and neat
Checks entrance area for cleanliness
Is in charge of training all new “Barista” Team Members
Is proactive and seeks new ways to improve the outlet
Has a positive attitude and is willing to go the “extra mile”
Demonstrates “Can Do” attitude
For Cocktail Server / Relief Barista
Minimum Requirements:
1 year experience in a high volume bar
6 months barista experience
1 year food and beverage experience in one location in a similar environment
3 months customer service experience
Must be minimum 18 years old
High School Diploma or High School equivalency
Relevant military experience in a comparable capacity
Licenses/Certifications:
TB Clearance required
Honolulu Liquor card required
Current ServeSafe certification, desired
Current TIPS or other Alcohol Service certification, desired
