GAI Consultants, Inc is seeking a Lead Designer within our PA Transportation Business Unit to work out of our Cranberry Township or Homestead Borough offices. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment that will utilize their technical skills and related work experience to maintain computer-aided design (CAD) filing structures and develop detailed, high-quality construction plans. Responsibilities Include: Knowledgeable in MicroStation with the familiarity of roadway design software such as InRoads and OpenRoads Designer desired. Interacts with engineers and clients to develop CAD models and engineering drawings to support projects within the Transportation Business Unit and other teams within GAI as required. Responsible for the creation of 3D CAD software models and detailed drawings. Assists engineers with hands-on troubleshooting eorts and eld investigations (occasional travel to project sites required up to 10%). Develops layouts, engineering drawings, drawing details, and assembles drawings as required. Performs maintenance of CAD les in response to engineering changes. Interfaces with other engineers to verify that data pertaining to project specifications is documented accurately. Qualification: Education Associates Degree or equivalent work experience required Experience 10+ Years of relevant work experience Knowledgeable in MicroStation. Familiarity of roadway design software such as InRoads and OpenRoads Designer preferred. Familiarity of Bentley ProjectWise collaboration software preferred. Performs work under minimal supervision. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines. State DOT experience is a plus.
