GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an EIT 2 to work with the Power Generation Business Sector on primarily renewable energy projects and when needed other regional projects. GAI Consultants, Inc. offers its employees, upon approval by supervisors, the ability to work remotely or in a hybrid setting. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment that will utilize their college education and past work experience to develop professionally into a well-rounded engineer with the ability to grow in today's environment. The candidate will be based out of GAI's Richmond, VA, Warrenton, VA or Pittsburgh, PA offices and will perform both design and monitoring tasks under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer. Tasks include: Site Grading Plans Erosion and Sediment Control Plans Stormwater Management Plans Hydrologic and Hydraulic / Drainage Plans Utility Design and Relocation Plans Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans Geotechnical Investigations Permit Applications (earth disturbance permits, building permits, land development plans, high occupancy permits, etc.) Access Road Section Development Construction Drawings, Specifications, and Quality Control Plans Construction Cost Estimates Owner's Engineer Support During Construction Field Investigations Daily/Weekly Construction Inspections Earthwork Construction Quality Control Compaction Testing Concrete Testing ESC Inspections SWPPP Inspections Environmental Monitoring The candidate should have the desire and ability to travel to Project sites, as needed, primarily in the mid-west and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. General Characteristics Acquires fundamental knowledge and develops skills in a specific practice area through mentored experience. Applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment. Minimum Years of Experience 2+ Education B.S. or M.S. Engineering Certification/Licensure Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and obtained engineer-in-training (EIT) or engineering-intern (EI) certification. Technical Responsibilities Performs basic design tasks. Assists on tasks such as: field activities, material testing, CADD work, permit applications, and report writing. Project and Task Management Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and scope. No managerial responsibilities at this level. Management Responsibility Receives close supervision on most aspects of assignments, particularly on difficult problems, and a general review of all aspects of work. Receives mentorship from a licensed engineer. Communication Skills Possesses basic oral and written communication skills. Engages in few project stakeholder interactions. Why GAI? Education Bachelors of Engineering (required)

Experience 2 years: Civil engineering experience (required) Preferred experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D (required)
