Senior Accountant

Role Overview: As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing financial operations within our manufacturing company. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position reports directly to Dave, the Director of Finance, who oversees operations from our parent company in Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Reconciliation :Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Handle month-end closing activities, including journal entries and adjustments.

  • Collaborate with Dave to ensure accurate financial statements.

  • Leadership and Independence :As the sole accountant, you’ll work independently, managing your tasks efficiently.

  • Provide guidance to junior accounting staff, if needed.

  • Software Proficiency :Utilize QuickBooks for financial transactions and reporting.

  • Business Environment :Enjoy a relaxed office atmosphere where teamwork and mutual support are valued.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • 4-5+ years of accounting experience.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Familiarity with QuickBooks (a plus).

  • Exposure to manufacturing industry practices (a plus).
