Responsibilities of this position will include the ability to support development, build rework and continuity testing of moderately complex PCB (Printed Circuit Board), PFC (Printed Flexible Circuit) prototypes assemblies, harnesses, cables and test fixtures using detailed input from the engineering teams, using schematic drawings, wire diagrams, PCB/PFC ECAD layouts and/or written verbal instructions.

1st shift: Monday - Friday 9-5

Responsibilities:

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed technical documents and instructions (schematics

drawings, wire diagrams, PCB/PFC layout).

• Ability to work with “Through-hole” and “Surface mount” components (Inductors, Resistors,

Capacitors, Integrated circuits etc.).

• Ability to rework/replace electrical components down to 0201 on flexible and rigid printed

circuits under a microscope.

• Ability to rework/replace BGA (Ball Grid Array) by using manual/ semi-automated BGA rework

station.

• Ability to build and rework harness and cables (splicing, crimping, stripping, etc.).

• Expert knowledge of area specific internal policies and procedures, operations, precautions

(ESD), prevention, signage for the protection of people, data, and property in accordance with

ISO, EH&S, security, IT, requirements and regulations.

• Create and maintain databases used to perform inventory and aid in the procurement of lab

consumables, prototype components/parts and develop kits for assembly of prototypes and

fixtures.

• Identify and select equipment for rework/assembly and maintain tools for and prototype

workstations

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Graduate, or certificate from accredited technical school, Associate degree, or equivalent experience

• 2+ years work of experience

Preferred Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge electrical technology used in prototyping for product and fixture development

• Strong knowledge of IPC industry guidelines and standards relating to electronics, prototype

fabrication, assembly, and qualification

• Analytical skills to recommend alternative prototype parts, electrical design features, circuit fabrication and manufacturing techniques to achieve product development requirements

• Experienced with electrical prototyping equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook Excel, Word & PowerPoint)

• Good communication and presentation skills to provide written and verbal reports to management

and multi-functional product development teams

• Advanced knowledge of general hand tools, precision instrument usage and Environmental Health and

Safety guidelines

• Experience with Agile and Web Based tools a plus

• IPC-Hand Soldering Certification a plus

• Personal Protective Equipment: Masks, Safety glasses, and gloves as required

Salary: USD 43200.00 - USD 64800.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
