Position Overview
The Regional Manager, Finance Business plays a pivotal role in providing financial leadership and strategic support to the commercial and program management teams within our North Carolina sites. This position requires a blend of financial expertise, business acumen, commercial mindset and the ability to influence and drive strategic initiatives. This role leads the local Finance Business Partner team in supporting all financial elements relating to revenue recognition, contract review and approval and sales to program margin forecasting. They are also responsible for ensuring financial goals are met and business strategies are effectively implemented. This role requires an experienced commercially minded and driven individual with managerial experience.

We are growing our locations and are investing more than $2 billion into establishing a new large-scale manufacturing site for biopharmaceuticals in the United States to accelerate the growth of our Bio CDMO (Contract and Development Manufacturing Organization) business. This will be the largest end-to-end cell culture CDMO provider in North America.
The new site will offer end-to-end solutions to our customers looking to manufacture biopharmaceuticals in the US. In addition to drug substance manufacture, it will also provide automated fill-finish and assembly, packaging, and labeling services. The new state-of-the-art facility is located in Holly Springs, North Carolina, United States.
Job Description
What You’ll Do
Oversees the analysis and management of financial data related to profit margin, monitoring and optimizing profitability.
Provides regional leadership by setting & aligning priorities, motivating, and empowering the team to deliver exceptional results.
Prepares budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives and identifying areas for efficiency and cost savings.
Develops strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders to drive optimal value.
Collaborates with Program Managers to develop and evaluate Client Project profitability, profitability modeling.
Leads the development and implementation of financial business partnering role within the organization.
Continuously monitor financial performance against targets, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
Leads finance reconciliations of client projects versus internal accounting systems.
Reviews revenue recognition, profitability and cash flow implications, challenging clauses accordingly.
Provides input for monthly site leadership reports, CFO report and bi-annual budget reports.
Optimizes contract and pricing strategies, ensure accuracy of models aligned while maintaining a consistent global approach.
Manages the regional team in the review and sign-off of customer contracts, change orders, inter-company agreements, and Master Services Agreements, ensuring they follow the correct approval process.
Ensures compliance to all relevant internal and external guidelines such as financial reporting guidelines, tax, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to support business goals and financial transparency.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements and drive implementation of these processes.
Manages and develops finance business partners.
Administers company policies such as time off, shift work, and inclement weather that directly impact employees
Completes required administrative tasks (e.g., timecard approvals, time off approvals, expense reports etc.)
Coaches and guides direct reports to foster professional development
Participates in the recruitment process and retention strategies to attract and retain talent, as needed
Addresses performance gaps, employee questions and concerns, and partners with HR as needed for resolution
Performs other duties, as assigned
Knowledge and Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Basic Requirements
Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field with 5+ years of experience; OR
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field with 7+ years of experience; OR
Associate’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field with 9+ years of experience; OR
2-5 years of people management experience
Experience and strong working knowledge of revenue recognition and an understanding of basic accounting rules and concepts
Experience in forecasting, budgeting and variance analytics
Experience and advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio)
Preferred Requirements / Certifications
Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
