Job Title 

Automation Engineer – Delta-V (Mid/ Senior Level)

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join our team for upcoming projects in the Raleigh-Durham area. The successful candidate will work on specific project tasks in our Holly Springs office and travel as needed. You will be responsible for designing, configuring, and commissioning DeltaV Batch systems, and leading and mentoring junior engineers. The role requires 3-10 years of experience implementing DeltaV systems, ideally with DeltaV Batch experience. While no specific industry experience is required, typical project travel will be around 10%-20%, with most travel within 2 hours of the office.

• Design, configure, and commission DeltaV Batch systems

• Lead and mentor junior engineers

• Work in a team environment with engineers and designers from the internal team, partners, and clients to provide Control Systems to improve efficiency, product quality, and profitability of process manufacturing

Must-Have Skills

• Experience with DeltaV: Must have experience in implementing and managing DeltaV systems, with a preference for experience with DeltaV Batch.

• Rockwell PLC Experience: Knowledge and hands-on experience with Rockwell PLC systems. This includes programming, troubleshooting, and integrating these systems within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

• Troubleshooting: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to automation systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

• Automation engineering: Solid understanding of automation system principles, including the design, development, and implementation of automation strategies for manufacturing processes.

Hard Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Computer Science.

• 3-10 years of experience implementing automation systems, ideally with DeltaV Batch experience & Rockwell systems experience.

• Experience working in a team environment with engineers and designers.

• Experience managing automation projects.

• Detailed knowledge of automation system architectures.

• Experience supporting PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems in a manufacturing environment.

• Coding/development/troubleshooting experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

• Experience in Pharmaceutical or relevant GMP manufacturing environment is a plus.

Work Environment

The engineer will work from the Holly Springs office and travel up to 10%-20% to the client site.

Opportunity Type

• Pay Range: $85,000 - $135,000 yearly base compensation range, variable depending on experience and qualifications.

• Work Location: On-site/Hybrid in Holly Springs, North Carolina.
