Actalent Hardware Design Engineer in Holland, Ohio

Hardware Design Engineer - Holland, OH - Hybrid

We are seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to provide concept definition, analysis, and integration of electronics systems for rugged mission and safety critical systems for Military, Aerospace and Vehicular environments. Through listening to customer challenges, and building on your previous experiences, you will find creative approaches that will solve the most challenging embedded electronics problems. This role is mostly onsite with some flexibility to work remote one day each week.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design electronics, including schematic design, power supply design, PCB design, and microcontroller design.

  • Prepare comprehensive design documentation.

  • Troubleshoot PCB boards, up to 12 layers.

  • Select components and create BOMs.

  • Generate test software.

  • Lead and guide internal junior electrical engineers.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a similar field

  • 8+ years of professional experience in circuit design

  • Power supply design

Plus:

  • EMC (electromagnetic compatibility)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field

  • Altium

  • Regulated industry experience

  • Desire to be/experience being customer interfacing

  • DOD Secret Clearance
