Schedule: Full Time; Monday - Friday

Description:

As an Environmental Analyst Intern at LG Energy Solution, your primary responsibilities will involve providing assistance and support to the EH&S team. Your key tasks will include analyzing volume, cost, and rebates associated with various waste streams. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in the management of waste, overseeing waste streams, handling procedures, transportation logistics, and disposal methods. This internship opportunity offers hands-on experience in environmental analysis and waste management within a dynamic and forward-thinking organization.

Responsibilities: At LGESMI you will work directly with our EH&S team on projects that include:

  • Prepare clear and detailed written reports about inspections/audits to ensure compliance with federal, local, and state regulations

  • Support the implementation of spill prevention programs and hazardous waste regulations

  • Maintain an understanding of different production processes in order to facilitate training and provide continuous improvement such as waste/recycling management, storm water management, and others as necessary

  • Support in the ISO 14001 certification process and lead continuous improvement efforts

  • Assist with performing internal audits of training programs and other departments to make sure they are up to date and meet proper environmental standards

  • Collect and analyze environmental data such as air emissions and waste/storm water data

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a B achelor’s degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering -Junior or Senior standing

  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 GPA or higher

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation

  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to new tasks and projects

  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goals
