Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive project manager assistant to support our project management team in the successful execution of architectural metal wall panel projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for construction and design, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment. This individual will interact with the engineering, finance, manufacturing, fabricating, and estimation teams.
Responsibilities
Assist project managers in developing and implementing project plans, timelines, and budgets specific to architectural metal wall panel projects.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, specifications, drawings, and status reports.
Communicate effectively with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects goals are met.
Track project progress, manage timelines, and prepare regular status updates for management and stakeholders.
Help identify project risks and issues, assisting in the development of proactive mitigation strategies.
Organize and facilitate project meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
Manage project-related administrative tasks, such as procurement, invoicing, and resource allocation.
Assist in the evaluation of the project performance, contributing to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills
1 - 2 years of project management or administrative support within the construction or architectural industry
Familiarity with project management software tools such as Bluebeam, Smartsheet, ClickUp, Procore, etc.
Understanding of commercial blueprints
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with RFI, change orders, project coordination, and commercial construction
Knowledge of estimation, documentation, order requests, contract administration, contract negotiation, transmittals, shop drawings, blueprints, color samples, and project closeouts
Strong communication and organizational skills
Work Environment
Work in the office Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Travel is not required on a consistent basis except for site visits. The team operates with an open-door policy and encourages a collaborative and supportive environment. Offices are customizable to give employees a home-like feel. The company fosters career growth, with project managers typically becoming fully functional within a year.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
