Ansible Government Solutions Accounting Technician in Hines, Illinois
Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Accounting Technicians to support the VHA Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) located at 5000 5th Ave, Hines, IL 60141. Shift schedule is typically Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm or 3:30pm-12:00am. Responsibilities
Serve as a team lead or senior team member, working in concert to provide professional accounting and financial management services to Federal, State & Local, and other Government clients
Function as a subject matter expert to efficiently reconcile and remedy fiscal discrepancies
Assess products and procedures for compliance with Government standards and financial management regulations
Support the maintenance and reconciliation of financial records and accounts
Help prepare financial reports and statements in accordance with federal regulations and standards
Assist in the analysis of financial data to identify trends and discrepancies
Support budget preparation and monitoring processes
Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting procedures and controls
Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Help maintain the general ledger and perform account reconciliations
Support financial audits by gathering and preparing requested documentation
Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Assist in the preparation of ad hoc financial analyses and reports as needed
Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management
Understanding of the U.S. Standard General Ledger, Federal financial statements, and Federal budget execution
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal accounting regulations
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Typing proficiency – minimum 45 words per minute
U.S. citizenship required
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
Familiarity with federal financial management systems preferred
All candidates must be able to:
Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
Lift up to 20 lbs
Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
