    What will you be doing?

    Assessment Clinician

    The BriteLife Way: BriteLife Recovery is a comprehensive substance use treatment facility similarly designed to existing high-end facilities yet is affordable enough for Middle America. The protocol is a unique opportunity for recovery and lifestyle change with a proven mind, body, and spirit approach, experiential and customized to each patient’s needs. We will provide all this without the pitfalls of metropolitan areas and ease of access to narcotics or any mind-altering substances. This is the first site to offer a co-morbidity approach, blended with both proven 12 step and non 12 step intense therapy protocols to treatment. Utilizing the medical model and focusing on a truly medical/therapeutic approach to living with addiction and alcoholism. BriteLife will be the leader in the industry and will set a new standard for treatment and medical protocols at a higher level of client care than previously approached.

    Overview of the Position:

    The Assessment Clinician is responsible for conducting comprehensive client interviews and completing thorough assessments based on information gathered. Using tools such as the Biopsychosocial Assessment, the Assessment Clinician contributes vital information to the client record that is used for treatment planning purposes. They ensure that client self-assessment measures are administered to meet compliance standards. The Assessment Clinician runs groups as needed and provides support to the clinician team as requested by the Clinical Director or Lead Therapist.

    Primary Tasks:

  • Complete the Biopsychosocial Assessment, including case summary and diagnosis, within prescribed timeframes for each client.

  • Assess clients using standardized or evidence-based assessment tools and diagnose clients based on DSM-5 criteria.

  • Facilitate the administration of the BAM-R for clients within prescribed timeframes.

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, as assigned.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the six dimensions of ASAM and produce clinical documentation reflecting client functioning in each of the dimensions, as indicated.

  • Participate actively and meaningfully in multidisciplinary team meetings.

  • Provide crisis intervention services to clients, as needed.

  • Maintain a professional presentation that is consistent with the philosophy, mission, values, and goals of BriteLife Recovery.

  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards and guidelines.

  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

  • Requirements:

  • Job Type: Full- Time

  • Complete annual education requirements.

  • Maintain standards of professional licensing/certification procedures and ethical behavior. Maintain client confidentiality .

  • Report to work on time and as scheduled.

  • Wear identification while on duty.

  • Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

  • Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner .

  • Clearly communicate the mission, ethics, and goals of the organization.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a behavioral health related field required.

  • Working towards licensure and/or drug and alcohol certification.

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency.

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a behavioral health related field preferred.

  • Drug and alcohol certification through state board (CADC, CAADC, ADC, AADC or equivalent) preferred.

  • Experience in substance use disorders treatment preferred.
