How you will make an impact

You will be leading software development for the Fab Solutions R&D team providing software and factory automation for in-fab semiconductor metrology and inspection products. These products have become critical for yield learning and defect analysis for our semiconductor manufacturing customers. Software for new product development as well as sustaining software support will be under the leadership of this role.

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and mentorship to the growing Fab Solutions software engineering team. Your role will involve managing SW engineering projects, guiding technical teams, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products.

  • Oversee the development of control and application software for Fab Solutions products and new product developments.

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle from inception to completion including requirements analysis, specification, design, implementation, and testing.

  • Support customers by reviewing specifications and providing on-site integration and validation of software and factory automation solutions.

  • Manage your team's performance and professional growth.

  • Contribute to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) by forecasting resources to meet the software product roadmap.

  • Collaborate across time zones with customers and engineering leaders.

  • Make key technical decisions that impact product development.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • 15+ years of relevant proven experience. At least 5+ years in managing teams and customers.

  • Proficiency in software engineering practices such as requirements, design, agile processes, and unit testing.

  • Ability to quickly come up to speed by understanding new problem domains, originating sound designs, and implementing well-structured code.

  • Excellent analytical and empirical problem solving and debugging skills.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment software including familiarity with SEMI standards and best-practices.

  • Semiconductor equipment factory automation experience using frameworks from PeerGroup, Cimetrix, or similar.
