Machine Operator

Job Description

Immediate opening for day and swing shift machinists to produce components for the semiconductor industry. This position requires strong attention to detail and careful handling of custom and fragile parts.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC machines to manufacture semiconductor parts.

• Clean and finish part processes in preparation for the next operation.

• Proficiency in basic math to calculate setups while using various units of measurement.

• Perform routine setup of fixtures, tools, and machines according to blueprints and work instructions.

• Shadow machinists during processing through functional procedures and machining processes such as milling, turning, shaping, drilling, and surface grinding.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 6 months of machining experience.

• Intermediate understanding of the fundamentals of machining, including shop math, drawings, measuring instruments, machine functions, and controls.

• Ability to calculate dimensions to meet tolerances and gain an understanding of G and M codes, GD&T.

• Understanding of advanced shop math and measuring instruments.

• Ability to align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, dial indicators, accessories, and materials.

• Ability to machine parts to drawing specifications using techniques such as milling, turning, shaping, drilling, and surface grinding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC or manual machining experience with a Mill or Lathe.

• GD&T Knowledge.

• CNC Machine Set Up Experience.

Work Environment

High-tech manufacturing environment. Very clean and organized. Day Shift: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm. Swing Shift: Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10:30pm, includes a 10% shift differential.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Hillsboro, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42900.00 - $53500.00
