Job Description

Come join Intel's Network Edge Solutions Group, responsible for engineering deployment of our Stand Alone Private 5G wireless Platform. We are looking for a Platform Applications Engineer responsible for building customer facing platforms for development, tests and proof-of-concept to commercialization. The Platform Applications Engineer will provide Support, Implementation of documentation & expertise for 5G Cloud-native Private Network functions.

The Platform Applications Engineer is responsible for building customer facing platforms for development, tests and proof-of-concept solutions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partner product design-in and debug support for Intel FlexRAN based private network solutions.

  • Supporting proof of concepts, lab trials, and initial field deployments that onboard applications.

  • Creation of application specific collateral, white papers, and application notes.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or in a STEM related field of study

  • 3+ years of Solution engineering experience pulling together hardware, software, and applications together to solve customer problems related to networking.

  • Experience with mobile networks and 3GPP including LTE and 5G architectures.

  • Experience with working in the Lab and on networking technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post Graduate degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or in a STEM related field of study

  • Experience with Kubernetes

  • Experience with hands on hardware builds and troubleshooting on Intel Xeon-based platforms.

  • Experience with network diagrams (SW / HW) to complete build and bring up of system.

  • Experience with End-to-end testing of 5G private networks.

  • Experience with Linux operating systems.

  • Experience with Red Hat open-shift, VMware TKG, docker, Google, AWS, and/or Microsoft.
