Acloche LLC Seeking Paint Line Tech - Hilliard Ohio in Hilliard, Ohio

Acloche is hiring for a great company in the West Columbus area! A fire truck company seeking a Paintline in Hilliard.

Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm with overtime Fridays.

Pay: $17/hr- $19 based on exp

Primary Functions:

  • Sub-coatings and finish coatings are applied to all metal components and finished products.
  • Fulfill all painting requirements, including painting parts and painting the entire vehicle, both in solid and metallic colors.
  • Mix all products according to specifications.
  • Check all painted materials for proper surface condition, paint preparations, and repair as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform spot-in repairs.
  • Sand paint finish and use compounds and operate polisher.
  • Mix coatings with thinner and catalyst to correct mixture, using color mixture equipment.
  • Apply coatings with all types of spray equipment to meet coverage and gloss standards. Be able to correct errors in application of all types of coatings.
  • Paint the parts and understand the acceptable quality of finish.
  • Clean and inspect parts prior to painting.
  • Follow all procedures for a quality, lasting paint finish.
  • Be able to mix and spray all products used.
  • Help train other painters both in production and quality.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Experience:

Must have good eye for detail. Previous experience in Body Paint required(2-3 years minimum).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Remove dust and other debris from surfaces in preparation for paint application, using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters.
  • Mask or tape off details and components that are not to be painted.
  • Fill cavities and dents to create an even surface.
  • Sand, fill and chisel vehicle as part of its preparation.
  • Select proper colors and substances for the project.
  • Determine the necessary application of paint for a thorough coat.
  • Check for runs or sags in the paint to ensure a quality product.
  • Pour paint into spray guns and adjust nozzles and paint mixtures for proper paint flow and coating thickness.
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for cleaning duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Vehicle painting experience
  • Some Press Brake Experience, preferably on a CNC controlled press brake, Trumpf equipment experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals, and procedure manuals.
