BAE Systems Test and Evaluation Engineer in Hill AFB, Utah
Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an outstanding Test & Evaluation (T&E) Engineer for an opportunity to support the U.S. Air Force's (USAF) development and acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) "Sentinel."
As a BAE team member, you are part of an Integrated Support Contract (ISC); we assist and advise the USAF with technical expertise to manage the prime contractor in developing the weapon system. This position will entail reviewing prime contractor technical documentation (including Test Plans, Test Reports, and Test Results), specifications, and design drawings; participation in technical reviews; and providing sound advice/suggestions within the T&E field to the Government customer.
The T&E professional should have a strong understanding and knowledge of test engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development and execution.
Additionally, general knowledge of missile, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of highly complex weapons and/or systems is critical.
Duties include:
Test planning, conduct, and reporting on various types of ground and ICBM test programs. Plans and carries out the collection and analysis of information, data, and standards used by the assigned organization to perform test engineering tasks. Carries out special projects designed to facilitate full use of the incumbent's training and development. Keeps abreast of emerging technologies and professional developments to maintain currency in the field and for application to work assignments.
The ideal candidate will have ICBM flight test management experience in both developmental test (DT) and operational test (OT) or integrated test with a strong understanding of test development processes, design of experimentation, specification compliance, operational relevance, and experience working, briefing, and communicating with the ICBM test community.

This position is located on Hill Air Force Base, UT, and due to the special-access classified working environment, is a fulltime, onsite position.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
BS in a STEM or Engineering degree.
Secret security clearance.
7 years directly related, progressive technical experience (5yrs with MS degree).
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Specific experience in Test and Evaluation.
MS in a STEM or Engineering Degree.
Experience with DOD acquisition.
Experience with ICBMs.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $103590 - $176130
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
