Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for a qualified Program Protection Project Manager to join our team for an exciting opportunity supporting to work on a unique government contract. The contract assists in acquisition and technical sustainment engineering and will augment government resources. The contract also provides breadth and depth of capabilities for system engineering and integration, risk management, technical assessment, acquisition program management, strategy development, organization and change management, interface with operations and logistics, business analysis, mission effectiveness, and demonstration/validation.

About the Job: Our experts are responsible for integrated weapon system management, from inception to retirement. As the Program Protection Project Manager, you will work on a high-performing team and provide subject matter expertise to the government customer to facilitate the integration of anti-tamper, hardware assurance, software assurance, supply chain risk management, and security specialties such as personnel security, industrial security, physical security, information security, and operations security. A qualified candidate will:

  • Perform as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to augment USAF resources and provide expertise to conduct or review program protection analyses for critical program information (CPI), trusted systems and networks (TSN), and program information

  • Collaborate with a program team to develop a Program Protection Plan (PPP) for their program and instruct those teams in the philosophy, techniques, and maintenance of their PPP

  • Collaborate with security specialists, program managers, and program engineers to assess vulnerabilities and identify protection measures

  • Conduct or review trade-off analyses to integrate protection measures from across security specialties with a goal of achieving a comprehensive system security approach, which reduces security risks to acceptable levels

  • Translate protection measures into system security requirements, and adjust them based upon constraints and decisions relayed from the systems engineer

  • Integrate the system security requirements into appropriate systems engineering artifacts

  • Conduct security risk management activities, producing related security risk management information, and advising the engineering team and key stakeholders on the security-relevant impact of threats and vulnerabilities to the mission supported by the system

  • Review or coordinate work with other team members to ensure progress is maintained to achieve specified aims; ensure conduct and performance of assignments is conducted as required by contractual agreements.

  • Attend conferences and meetings to represent assigned activity. Develop working group meeting agendas, schedule conference rooms and teleconferences, prepare and consolidate briefing materials, provide meeting minutes, and draft answers to action items assigned by other agencies or organizations.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

This position is located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah and is currently permitted to be hybrid telework two days a week but requires the ability to come on-site when required to access classified materials or respond to customer needs.Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires U.S. Citizenship status, and qualified candidates must be eligible for and successfully obtain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Required Education: At least 10 years of experience in direct Program Management with a Bachelor s degree (8 years with a Master s degree)

Required Skills:

  • Able to obtain and retain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance

  • Able to work independently, demonstrate and take initiative, and organize daily tasks with minimal or no supervision

  • Possess strong communication skills (oral and written) commensurate with expected mid- to senior-level civilian and military participants from various US Government agencies

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.

  • Committed to results and success in accomplishing goals, as well as a fast learner with demonstrated ability to quickly learn and understand unique system requirements.

  • At least 6 years of experience in identifying security vulnerabilities and minimizing or containing risks associated with these vulnerabilities.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Commitment to results and success in accomplishing goals, as well as a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and understand unique system requirements, is highly desired;

  • Familiarity with protecting U.S. military technology and technical data, especially the ICBM weapon system, is highly desired;

  • Willingness to support the customer by learning new functions in Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint, is highly desired;

  • Experience with Department of Defense and U.S. Air Force publications, including DoDI 5200.44, Protection of Mission Critical Functions to Achieve Trusted Systems and Networks (TSN), DoDI 5000.02, Operation of the Defense Acquisition System, DoDI 8500.01, Cybersecurity, AFI 16-1404, Air Force Information Security Program, and AFI 33-200, Air Force Cybersecurity Program Management, is desired but not required;

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Project Management or Security is desired but not required.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $103590 - $176130

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
