Join BAE Systems as an Infrastructure Systems Engineer to be part of a diverse and enthusiastic team who solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges and directly support the nation s security! The Role will primarily support the 'Sentinel' Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program replacing the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, with additional support to other BAE Systems' infrastructure related contracts with the Ordinance Team (Tennesse and Virgina), and Navy facility operations at various locations among others. These projects represent billions of dollars in construction related planning, design, execution and sustainment activities. The position will be based at Hill AFB, Utah with opportunity for travel to sites as needed. Our team is on the cutting edge of some of the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements. As part of these contracts, BAE Systems provides Advisory and Assistance Services in the areas of engineering, logistics, management, scientific analysis, and other subject matter expertise to augment and optimize management of these critical programs.

The Role

The Principal Systems Engineer performs one or more of the following functions:

• Support requirements development verification and management

• Interface with the customer and participate in design reviews

• Conduct requirements traceability

• Evaluate design requirements and allocations

• Assess interface documents

• Coordinate Systems Engineering activities to influence the design

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related field

• 10 yrs technical experience (8yrs with MS) in industrial design with an emphasis in systems engineering

• Experience in requirements management, traceability, and verification and configuration management tool use

• Ability to guide multi-disciplined engineer teams on requirements analysis and development

• Proficient knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Visual Analysis, STAAD/RAM, etc.) for efficient production of engineering work

• Capable of creating required engineering documentation using Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Access

• Must be able to obtain Top Secret (or higher) security clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience in Systems Engineering early phase concept development and high level modeling

• Experience in testing, commissioning and validation activities

• Familiar with Department of Defense programs

• Able to develop Systems Engineer metrics for tracking

• Experience in requirement management software such as DOORS

• Professional Engineer License

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $103590 - $176130

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
