BAE Systems Engineering Program Manager - Strategic Missile Integration Complex in Hill AFB, Utah

Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team for an exciting opportunity supporting sustainment efforts for the Minuteman III (MMIII) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system at the Strategic Missile Integration Complex (SMIC). The SMIC is a world-class Test and Evaluation facility that is used to test nuclear and ballistic missile systems by simulating missile squadrons.

As a Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of highly skilled engineering and technical professionals at the SMIC who researches, upgrades, designs, builds and tests missile test equipment and supporting systems. The Engineering Manager's day-to-day opportunities will include close customer interaction, people and technical management, planning, organizing, and overseeing engineering activities relating to the design, development, and analysis of unique test systems or systems components.

The position is located at Hill AFB, Utah. US citizenship status is required.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelors degree with 10 years relevant experience; 8 years with a masters degree

  • Project coordination and managing project interdependencies

  • Identifying and addressing problems and risks

  • Stakeholder communications, negotiations, and problem-solving

  • Effective oral and written communication skills with customers, suppliers, and company personnel

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of integrity, even under pressure

  • Attention to detail, including good time management and organization skills

  • Experience creating professional documents, presentations and spreadsheets with MS Office

  • Must also be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. The criteria for obtaining and holding a clearance are driven by US government requirements. You must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Minuteman III ICBM Weapon System and/or SMIC Experience

  • Program Management (PM) experience in a DOD environment (PMP certification is a plus)

  • Experience managing or supporting DoD contracts

  • Experience in test and evaluation operations

  • Current Secret clearance or higher

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $120000 - $204000

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
