Cimarron Software Services, Inc. EMI/EMC Support Engineer in Highlands Ranch, Colorado

Cimarron is seeking an EMI/EMC Support Engineer to support the Geostationary Extended Observations (GeoXO) satellite system program in Highlands Ranch, CO. GeoXO is NOAA's next-generation Geostationary Extended Observations satellite system, designed to revolutionize how we monitor Earth's atmosphere and oceans. GeoXO will deliver critical data to improve forecasts and increase preparedness for severe weather, air quality events, and harmful algal blooms. By enhancing public safety and delivering significant economic benefits, GeoXO represents a transformative step in safeguarding lives, property, and our nation's resilience.

This is a hybrid role that only requires onsite support two days per week.

Key Duties:

Perform EMI/EMC specification development in compliance with industry and regulatory standards such as MIL-STD-461, DO-160, FCC, or CE Marking requirements. Support the design and development of systems to mitigate EMI and ensure EMC, including shielding, grounding, and filtering techniques. Review schematics, PCB layouts, and system designs for EMI/EMC considerations. Identify component specifications for compliance with applicable standards. Support the development of the EMI/EMC Plan and Electro-static Discharge Control & Verification Plan. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product design meets EMI/EMC requirements. Stay updated on evolving EMI/EMC standards, methodologies, and technologies. Support the subsystem and system Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews. Travel Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time. 5 or more years of related experience. Experience with EMI/EMC testing and mitigation techniques. Knowledge of regulatory standards such as MIL-STD-461, DO-160, or IEC/EN 61000. Proficiency in using or writing instructions for EMI/EMC testing equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Experience supporting at least 1 PDR or CDR on a similar program. Proficiency in CREO CAD modeling and engineering integration to process designs from Preliminary Design Review (PDR) to Critical Design Review (CDR). Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

Master's degree in a related field. Certification or training in EMI/EMC standards and practices. Experience working with aerospace or defense systems. Familiarity with CAD tools for PCB layout and EMI/EMC simulation software. Business Profile:
