Actalent Quality Manager in High Point, North Carolina

Responsible for the overall quality assurance of procured/manufactured products and after-sales warranty support. This role involves interfacing with customers regarding current and long-term quality/service concerns, providing quality-related support, advice, and assistance to management, operational staff, suppliers, and customers. The Quality Control Manager will design and implement methods for process control and improvement through Lean/Kaizen activities, testing, and inspection.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience

  • Previous quality management experience in a medium to large organization

  • Ability to read manufacturing drawings and use measurement equipment

  • Demonstrated use of Root Cause Problem Solving tools and techniques

  • Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control

  • Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques, and documentation

  • Efficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight time schedules

  • Considerable attention to detail

  • High ethical standards and ability to represent the organization professionally

  • Ability to act ethically and confidentially

  • Strong internal and external customer service ethos

  • Experience in managing and developing staff

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in High Point, North Carolina.

Work Environment

Plant operation hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:30am to 5pm, and Friday, 6:30am to 3pm, totaling 48 hours.
