Location/Division Specific Information:

As part of the Pharma Services Group (PSG), the High Point, NC site focuses on gelatin-based drug delivery dosage forms (softgels). We offer extensive development and commercial scale capabilities for a variety of softgels technologies.

How Will You Make an Impact?:

The Analytical Research and Development Technician will work in a GMP laboratory supporting the development or transfer of analytical methods. Responsibilities include routine lab related activities such as preparing mobile phase and diluent solutions, entering sample information to tracking software, preventive maintenance of equipment and daily equipment calibrations/verification.

A Day in the Life:

  • Perform physical and chemical evaluation of finished product, process intermediates, and stability samples.

  • Document actions appropriately according to GMP/GLP guidelines.

  • Prepare Test Summary Reports

  • Ensure that samples arriving for testing are logged appropriately.

  • Maintains and ensures safe laboratory environment and work practices according to SOPs

  • Perform laboratory and equipment cleaning, preventive maintenance, and calibration

  • Other assigned duties could include sample logging, reagent preparations, and assisting with shipment preparations

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a lab setting or related field or equivalent coursework.

  • Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to read and understand EP and USP

  • Laboratory documentation, reports, and correspondence

  • Electronic interpersonal skills using Microsoft Excel or other planning tools

  • Effective communication and the ability to work in a high pressure/high paced environment

  • Ability to multi-task and function effectively as a member of a team

  • Meet DEA security clearance requirements if requested

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull/carry up to 25 pounds

  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
