Fairview Health Services Registered Nurse (RN), Women's Health and Birth Center in Hibbing, Minnesota

Fairview Range is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Women's Health and Birth Center team in Hibbing, MN.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients and oversee unit operations for a shift when functioning as charge nurse.

All RNs within the unit are trained to Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, and lactation support. Some RNs on the unit are Certified Lactation Consultants. We offer inpatient and outpatient lactation support services through IBCLC, CLC, and lactation trained RNs.

Schedule: This position is part-time, 60 hours per two weeks, 12-hour Day/Night shifts and every third weekends.

  • 10 beds, including 4 private labor and delivery suites

  • More than 300 baby deliveries annually

  • IBCLC trained staff within department

  • Care team includes OB Physicians, Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians, Family Practice Physicians, CRNAs, RNs, Unit Assistants.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities

  • Performs a total systems assessment according to established policies (including physical, psychosocial and spiritual data) upon admission, as well as onging assessments.

  • Analyzes assessment data, identifies problems and develops the plan of care in collaboration with the patient, significant other and resource personnel.

  • Provides age specific direct patient care in collaboration with all disciplines according to standards of care.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Qualifications

  • Current OB experience with labor, delivery, postpartum or nursery care.

  • Will also consider previous LPN experience.

  • If no applicants meet these qualifications, consideration will be given to those with one year of medical/surgical experience.

  • A preference will be given to those who have current BLS, current ACLS, and NRP.

  • Current RN licensure required.

  • Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
