- Title: Specialist, Equipment Master Data * Location: Hershey, PA * Summary:* This position is responsible for supporting the Manager, Equipment Master Data in executing Asset Care Strategy transactional activities, including but not limited to: Equipment Data Entry, Equipment Spare Parts and Equipment Documentation for new equipment/production line installation and existing equipment. Moderate travel will be required to support various manufacturing sites across the U.S. * Summary of major duties:* * * Equipment Standards Governance* o Incorporate industry best practices and tools based on emerging trends and changing business requirements. Benchmark and participate in sharegroups with other organizations in order to advance The Hershey Company’s capability. o Support Manager, Equipment Master Data in oversight and development of standards for capital project new equipment and existing equipment asset strategy relating to Master Data / Technical Objects, Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans, and BOM structure. o Serve as point of contact for master data related issues, opportunities and improvements o Support initiatives by overseeing data handoff from OEM, PMO, and plant teams as well as attending cross functional meetings. o Ensure adherence to the data governance policy for all equipment master data domains. o Leverage existing and propose new technology solutions to improve workflow and master data creation, maintenance and archival. o Support oversight of maintaining equipment database in SAP to ensure equipment information, documentation, BOMs and PM Plans are standardized, accurate, and updated o Support in the cascade of SAP data standards training for new local plant maintenance and storeroom personnel. o Support procedure reviews and facilitating procedure updates with process owners o Supports by acting as “first line of defense” in fielding opportunities to improve data quality as well as resolving data issues. o Identifies root causes of data quality problems within their assigned area of stewardship and identifies sustainable solutions. o Ensures team members are kept informed of changes in data standards and processes. * * Execute Operational Activities such as but not limited to: o Setup and modify new and existing equipment to meet enterprise standards o Work with Engineering and equipment OEM on projects during commissioning and validation to gather equipment specific data (i.e. OEM, Model, Serial #) and entering equipment numbers in SAP PM with linkage to Asset numbers. o Assigning equipment numbers and descriptions and maintaining these equipment with the proper description and RAV. o Create / process CARD forms, (Capital Asset Relocation & Disposal forms), in the system to remove equipment from plant o Lead local master data maintainers to create or edit master data records in a timely and efficient manner. * * Equipment Strategy Development o Development / documentation of PM plans in SAP and attach the plans to the equipment o Work with plants to ensure proper PM task list details (including work center, planner code, task frequency, and object lists) in relation to plant personnel structure, equipment maintainability, equipment production needs, and equipment environment. o Obtain OEM recommended maintenance tasks, task steps, and frequency. o The role should leverage existing PM plans to replicate and optimize like equipment strategy o Propose new technology solutions to improve reliability or manufacturing equipment o Coordinate with plants to ensure proper tools and training related to maintenance strategy deployment. * * Equipment Spare Parts* o Compile complete spare parts list with maintenance assembly (IBAU) structure. o Obtain list of critical spares required for regular operation of equipment as recommended by OEM and plant maintenance personnel. o Provide guidance for known obsolete parts o Provide suggested plant stocking levels and subsequent HIBE requests * * Equipment Documentation* o Coordinate with Plant Maintenance to ensure documentation completeness. o Obtain OEM equipment manuals and troubleshooting guides o Request addition plant specific guides and documentation related to equipment set up and maintenance o Maintain equipment information libraries attached to equipment within SAP, enterprise document library, and/or local plant digital storage. * * Reporting* o Create and Deliver monthly report out of key performance metrics for Corporate PM Pillar and focus site plant leadership o Interface with team members, taking a lead role in the analysis, research, and resolution of master data issues o Understanding and tracking Master Data enhancement requests to include detailed needs and requirements / Qualifications:/ * Intermediate knowledge level of ERP system, preferred SAP PM (ECC and S4/HANA) experience. * Strong communication skills and tenacity (written and verbal) in English is crutial. * Must be willing and capable to work evening shifts to support business regions real-time. * Capable of documenting and adhering to process discipline. / Communication Skills:/ * Ability to work well with others as well as part of a team * Sensitivity to other cultures and cultural differences * Ability to handle multiple priorities * Strong organizational skills * Strong drive for results / Technical Skills:/ * General knowledge of manufacturing maintenance and reliability practices * Strong computer skills with accuracy (Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, Power BI) * Microsoft Office skills (Excel analytics/pivot tables) * Working knowledge of ERP (i.e. SAP PM) systems * Knowledge of or ability to learn policies and procedures (i.e. Hershey Lean) * Strong communication skills * Strong attention to detail * Analytical thinker * Basic math skills * Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:* * Bachelor's degree in a quantative field preferrable or equivalent relevant experience. * Minimum of 2-3 years with data maintenance of Customer, Vendor or Material Master Data. * Minimum of 2-3 years working in an ERP system. * Analytical and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. * Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to work independently and with a cross functional team. * Excellent technical and analytical/statistical skills. * Detail oriented, logical, and methodical approach to
