JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a full-time Research Technologist. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work with cell culture, mouse cancer models, and a variety of molecular biology techniques. The position offers hands-on training experience with cutting-edge methodologies, including whole-genome CRISPR/Cas9 screening, murine and patient-derived xenograft leukemia models, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, HiC genome organization analysis, single-cell sequencing, and other standard molecular and biochemical techniques.

This is a limited-term position funded for one year from date of hire, withpossibility of refunding.

This position will be filled at an Professional or Intermediate Professional depending on the candidate's education and experience. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional education and/or experience required for higher level positions.

Preferred Qualifications: Applicants with 2-3 years of prior research experience in a cancer research lab will be given preference.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is: $34,800.00 - $55,500.00
